Ron started in the aerospace industry at Acoutic Fab in 2001, where he was a Composite Technician working on composite EC ducts, APU inlets, APU plenums and noise attenuation ducts. In 2005, Ron was promoted to Production Manager and led a team of 25 assemblers and 15 support staff. As Production Manager he engaged his team to achieve consensus decisions and create new processes and programs. Ron started at Hartzell Aerospace in 2010 as the Site Leader where he was responsible for the facilities ESH, Quality Control, Production Control, Purchasing, Shipping and Receiving, and Inventory. In 2015 Ron became part of the ACS Team and has been focusing on the strategic planning and goal-setting to direct the operations of ACS Florida in support of its goals. He has also been measuring the progress and adjusting processes accordingly to keep the entire organization on track.
Having completed his Master's Degree in Transportation Geography in 1994, David has worked in sales, marketing, and yield management for USAfrica Airways and British Airways, while obtaining his commercial pilot ratings. Since 1998 David Served as the director of aircraft sales for a prominent aircraft brokerage company and in September 2002 David founded Stone Aviation International (SAI). Starting with Jet and Turboprop transactions, SAI's business evolved further into helicopter sales, component sales, project support for helicopter operations, and unique FAA certified projects. David's experience in the aerospace industry has given him the knowledge and experience to be responsible for ACS Florida's business development and support.
Barbour, Keith Harvey, Dana Kerrick, Dave Stutesman, Chic Ayers, Julius Mekwinski and most certainly my partner Mr. Bruce Anning. Not all of whom I was best of friends with, but I was able to gain knowledge in several different aspects of the business from hands on repairs to engineering, to management and most importantly, taking care of the customer. I am very proud of my accomplishments and passionate about what I do. "I am the luckiest man on this earth".
My experience along with my partner Bruce Anning extends back 38 years. I started my career with Orlando Helicopter Airways in 1976 learning the Sikorsky S-55, S-58 & S-61 main & tail rotor blade repair. I knew then this was my life and wanted to learn it all so I moved on to Bell Helicopter International, Composite Technologies Inc. Winnipeg, Orlando Blade Technologies, Lockheed Martin. Aviation Blade Services, Advanced Composite Structures USA, Vertical Aviation (Whisper Jet), AcousticFab and finally settled down in my hometown of Sanford, Florida; took the plunge and partnered with Bruce and opened Advanced Composite Structures Florida. I have learned so much from my travels working for large and small aerospace manufacturers and rotor blade repair facilities from Florida to Iran, California, Canada, and North Carolina. In 2011, Advanced Composite Structures Florida opened in Sanford, International Airport. The Brand new 10 000 sq. ft. repair facility is overlooking the runway with direct aircraft access to the shop. Dedicated paint/cure booth, tear down area, NDI inspection, Clean Room, Electronic Balance Room, hot bonding equipment, Inventory Area and Offices are all completely new or have been extensively renovated in July 2012.
The ACS Florida operation has been set up in response to increasing demand for Rotor Blade repair capability in this part of the continent as well as a shortage of Composite repair support for local MRO organizations.
